Special screening of the OKO Film Festival in Bulgaria, Sofia, May 24-26, 2022

Updated: Oct 12, 2022

When someone feels down, he or she tends to dive into the memories, those when everything was good.

We have all been feeling bad since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion on the 24th of February. Constantly. Essentially. Continuously. And we cling to good memories to have the strength to wait for the victory, to work, to live.

More than a month has passed since the special screening of Ukrainian films in Sofia took place. When we first went abroad to tell the world about Ukraine. When we met with our guests in Bulgaria and treated our hearts together with film therapy.

Let's remember how it was and recharge our memory batteries.

Don't judge too harshly, we've made this video out of pieces everyone shot on their cellphones. As my grandmother said: "They knew how to cook, but they didn't know how to serve". Similarly, did we. But since our guys, Alexander Baron and Yan Lelyuk were not with us, we did everything by ourselves, and often forgot or just did not have time for shooting something. So, many moments will remain only in our minds and in the memories of our guests, who were with us during those three days.

But what can we do? The memories are relevant to the times. And yet, miraculously, we somehow managed to put the highlights and all the people in one video. So, turn it on, watch it, and share it, meanwhile, we are preparing some wonderful news for you about the next steps of "OKO".
